Architecting a healthcare education ecosystem
A 0→1 healthcare education platform designed to give educators the tools to create, publish, manage, and monetize professional training while giving learners a streamlined path from discovery to completion. Algoleaf was conceived as a unified platform that could bring these experiences together while creating a marketplace where educators could share and monetize their expertise.

Challenge
How might we make sophisticated healthcare education easier to create, distribute, and consume?
The platform needed to solve for two very different audiences while keeping their experiences connected. Educators needed powerful tools for building and managing courses, while learners needed a simple path to discover, enroll in, and complete training.
Results
I designed and architected Algoleaf as a 0→1 healthcare SaaS platform, working across product strategy, UX architecture, visual design, and front-end development.
I translated complex creator and learner needs into 8+ core workflows spanning 60+ product screens.
I also established a scalable design system with 25+ reusable components, creating a consistent foundation for the platform's continued development.

Process
Research & Analysis: Researched healthcare education, LMS, creator, and marketplace products to understand user needs, competitive patterns, and opportunities for differentiation. Synthesized findings into product requirements and experience principles that shaped the platform strategy.
Information Architecture: Defined the overall product ecosystem and mapped the relationships between creators, learners, courses, marketplace content, enrollment, and administration. Established the information architecture needed to support a scalable 0→1 SaaS product.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Mapped 8+ end-to-end workflows across course creation, content management, publishing, marketplace discovery, enrollment, and learning, then translated them into low-fidelity wireframes to establish navigation, hierarchy, and interaction patterns. Iterated rapidly on complex workflows to reduce friction while giving creators and learners the right level of control.
Usability Testing: Conducted usability testing and prototype reviews to evaluate navigation, terminology, workflow sequencing, and overall task clarity. Findings were translated into iterative UX improvements across the highest-priority product experiences.
Visual Design & Style Guide: Translated validated UX into a cohesive visual language balancing healthcare credibility with the accessibility of a modern education platform. Developed high-fidelity interfaces and a scalable design system spanning 60+ screens and 25+ reusable components across creator tools, marketplace experiences, learning workflows, navigation, forms, and commerce.

“Troy was able to take a complex healthcare education product and turn it into an experience that actually felt intuitive. He brought structure to the product, connected the different user workflows, and built a design system that made the whole platform feel consistent and scalable.”

Conclusion
Algoleaf challenged me to think beyond individual interfaces and design an interconnected product ecosystem with fundamentally different user needs. The work required balancing creator flexibility, learner simplicity, marketplace discovery, and scalable product architecture across dozens of screens and workflows.
The result was a 0→1 healthcare education platform designed around the full lifecycle of professional learning—from creating knowledge to distributing it and ultimately putting it in the hands of the people who need it.
